July 2019 - J.J Morley Enterprises, Inc.
Mark Kelley has been in the waterproofing industry for 35 years- 29 of those years with J.J. Morley. The Morley Companies consist of 3 divisions; Exterior Building Restoration and Waterproofing; Mold, Lead and Asbestos Abatement, including Interior and Site Demolition; and a full range of General Construction Services. He worked his way up from grunt labor and through the ranks over the years to his current position, VP of Operations. He says that the most important aspect that has contributed to his success within the organization was starting at the bottom and personally performing every task that he now oversees.
A couple of Mark’s business philosophies are: Work hard to build and even harder to maintain a trustworthy relationship with customers, employees, vendors, etc., as well as: Don’t over-promise your performance, but perform no less than what you’ve promised. He says that his secret to success is his co-workers, employees, customers, vendors, etc.
BOMA is one of the handful of professional organizations that he is actively involved in. The reason is the networking and relationships built with property managers/facility managers, building engineers, as well as other industry peers in a more tight knit group where you don't get lost in the room. He feels a better sense of community through the BOMA membership.
