Chattanooga's Innovation District to host Planning Sessions to map future growth

BOMA members are encouraged to attend, as these planning sessions will affect the future growth of downtown Chattanooga. If you can attend, please RSVP to Nancy at https://www.theenterprisectr.org/

The Enterprise Center and its partners the City of Chattanooga, River City Company, UTC and the Chattanooga Design Studio are launching a planning process for future development and advancement of the Innovation District. This 140-acre district contains significant economic, cultural, commercial, placemaking and educational assets, yet there are important opportunities for improvements and for developments in the district that could benefit the city as a whole.  Chattanooga’s planning history has shown that when area stakeholders and the public come together to plan the future of an area, the results are meaningful, substantial and doable.  With your help, we hope this will happen in the upcoming Innovation District planning process.

U3 Studio, a design and planning firm that has helped plan other innovation districts around the country has been retained to work with us, and their team will be in Chattanooga on August 7 and 8 for meetings with local stakeholders.

Accordingly, I would like to ask your participation in two specific ways:

  1. We will be hosting a focus group with a small group of developers and property owners onMonday, August 7, from 12:45- 2:00pm on Floor Five in the Edney Innovation Center. Your input in this meeting will be most beneficial.

  1. Additionally their visit will include a public presentation and input session on Monday August 7, at 5 pm on Floor Five in the Edney Innovation Center.

I hope you will be able to join us at both the focus group and the larger public meeting. I realize that we are asking for a sizeable amount of time during this week, but as we dive into detail planning your involvement and input is much appreciated. Please RSVP to Nancy Tucker if you can attend.
